The sun is surprisingly quiet right now. What does this mean for the April 8 total solar eclipse?

The sun is abnormally quiet right now, even though it is getting close to its most active phase. It might not awaken before Monday, April 8, when the total solar eclipse occurs. What effect will this have on how we see the show?
Right now, the sun appears to be taking an unplanned slumber, coinciding with Monday’s total solar eclipse on April 8.
Recently, there has been a great deal of solar activity, which has sparked expectations that we could be able to witness solar storms erupting from our home star when the moon is fully occluded by it during totality. But the most recent space weather forecasts make this appear improbable.
Even yet, our home star should appear far more magnificent than it does during most other eclipses if you are able to see it unhindered from somewhere along the line of totality.
