Hollywood studio Amazon MGM bought ownership of ‘James Bond’ movie
The world’s most popular film franchise, ‘James Bond,’ has been owned by one family. However, a historic deal on Thursday has brought the ownership of this famous film under the Hollywood studio Amazon MGM.
After the deal, Variety magazine wrote, ‘The popular series has taken on a new shape and direction after the historic deal.’
As part of the deal, Bond series custodians Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have struck a deal with Amazon MGM, handing over creative control to a second party.
Hollywood has been surprised after the entry of Amazon MGM as the producer of the famous James Bond series with ‘007 Code’. The latest series of this film, ‘No Time to Die,’ was released in 2021. This film was Daniel Craig’s last as James Bond.
The search for an actor to play the new James Bond has been ongoing since then. Actor Craig worked as James Bond in 5 series. According to sources, the story and director for the new series have not been finalized. Amazon bought MGM Studios for $8.5 billion four years ago.
