Swayambhunath is Important place of Nepal

Swayambhunath is both Buddhist and Hindu religious place. Swayambhunath is located in the hill of Kathmandu valley which is west of Kathmandu city. Swayambhunath is at distance 4.8km from center of kathmandu. Swayambhunath is the oldest of its kind in Nepal. Swayambhunath has its own glory has its own fame and reputation. To reach there you can take a local bus or by hiring cab or taxi.

In the front place there are big statues that you can see from a far distance also. It is said that the glory of kathmandu has started from this place. To reach top you can go there by stairs. If you don’t like to walk then you can reach almost top by motor road from where it is a short walk. Swayambhunath is also famous as monkey temple.

There are lots of monkeys in this area. Swayambhunath have always visitors but largest crowd are seen in Buddha jayanti which is in May. In new year also many people go there to visit there use to so much crowd that it is hard to take one step as well. Swayambhunath temple is open in wed -wed 4 am to 9am and thursday- tuesday 4am to 9pm.

There are lots of things to do in there you can visit sleeping Buddha statue which is really beautiful. You can buy there many things like key ring, bangles, ring, mala, bracelet and many other thing. In there you can change your money to coin as well and throw in water pond where it is said that your wish can be true if you are able to throw in right place.

Many people use to be there trying to goal at right place. From top of the swayambhunath you can view Kathmandu valley which is really beautiful and its so good to watch from there. You can also see the huge gold plated vajra set in the east side of stupa which add the beauty to it and there is also Buddha statue in the west side. You can also see The Dewa Dharma Monastery which is noted for a bronze icon of Buddha and Tibetan painting. Swayambhunath is the best place to observe religious harmony in Nepal. Swayambhunath is the destination for many tourist.
