Roberto Firmino also joined the Saudi club
Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino has signed with Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli. Firmino, who left the Premier League club Liverpool, has also been added to the list of Saudi League players following other players.
31-year-old Firmino has signed a three-year contract with Al-Ahli. Firmino was a free agent after his contract with Liverpool expired at the end of last season.
Firmino, who came to Liverpool from the German club Hoffenheim in 2015, has scored 111 goals in 362 games in England.
Al-Ahli previously signed Senegalese goalkeeper Edouard Mendy from Chelsea.
Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante and Kalidou Coulibaly have also left the club and joined the Saudi club.
Along with Firmino, Naby Keita, Alex Chamberlain and James Milner left Anfield as free agents.
While in Liverpool, the trio of Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane was very solid.
