‘Pathan’ made at a cost of 270 crores earned 333 crores profit, Shah Rukh took 200 crores

Kathmandu. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer Bollywood film ‘Pathan’, which was released late last year, created history with its box office success. The film, which marks the comeback of Shahrukh after four years, also held the worldwide record for the highest grossing Hindi film.
The film directed by Siddharth Anand made an opening of Rs 57 crore only in its Hindi version. The film grossed 543.05 crores at the Indian box office. The film’s story, action and songs all won the hearts of the audience. As a result, Pathan has become the biggest film not only of this year but of all time
Not only for Shahrukh, but also for producer Aditya Chopra, the film proved to be very profitable, earning around 333 crore instead of 100-200 crore. The total budget of the film including production was 270 crores. While it earned Rs 545 crore at the Indian box office.
In the international market alone, it earned 396 crores. The distribution share was 245 crores and 178 crores abroad. The film earned 150 crores from satellite and digital rights sales. Through music and grants, the film received Rs 30 crore.
Production company Yash Raj Films invested 270 crores and earned 603 crores and made a profit of 333 crores. Shahrukh did not get any salary from the film but sat on 60% of the profit share. In this way, Shah Rukh has taken 200 crore rupees from Pathan’s total earnings. The Film Development Board has given the details that the film has grossed Rs 13 crore in Nepal as well.
