Panauti is a municipality in Kavrepalanchok district. It is 32 km southeast from Kathmandu. Panauti is a beautiful place to visit. It won’t take long time to reach there. The places to visit in Panauti are Indreshwor Mahadev Temple, Namobuddha, Shree Chandeshwori Temple, Doleshwor Mahadev Temple and Namobuddha Monastery. Namobuddha is situated at the top of hill near the old town of Dhulikhel.

You can also visit Shree Chandeshwori Temple. It is a Hindu temple. There is a myth that the Chandeshwori temple is the place where the goddess Parvati defeated the demon Chanda. It was built in 17th century. It is important temple with historical belief.

In this temple there is also painting of Lord Bharava on the side wall and also a biggest graffiti of Nepal mandala.
