Palpa is one of the seventy seven district of Nepal. Patan is famous for various kinds of handicrafts as well as cottage industries. Palpa is 175 km distance far from Kathmandu. Palpa is one of the beautiful place with lakes and temples. There are lots of lakes in Palpa like Sita kunda, Pravas lake and Satyawai lake. Not only lakes but there is river as well like Kali Gandaki River, Tinau river, Ridi River, Dovan River and many other rivers are located in this district.
In this district there is a presence of historical temple Rishikesh temple. Some body part of Satidevi was cremated here according to hindu mythology. In this temple worshippers use to more in 1st magh as Hindus come to take bath in Kaligandaki river. And some of the other attractions are Shrinagar hill and Rambi. Sita kunda is a historical that is situated on the border between Rampur municipality 5 and 6 which is in Palpa district.

Fairs are organize during Krishna Janmasthami, Ram Navami and Sita Bibaha Panchami by locals. If you like to do hiking then you can go to Shrenagar hill for hiking. From shrenagar hill you can view the Himalayas. This palace is popular for picnic, hiking and view tower.
And not only shrenagar hill but you can also hike to Ranimahal as well. Ranimahal is also known as Taj Mahal of Nepal. As it was constructed by General Khadka for his wife Tejkumari. There are Kalika Fort, Nuwakot fort and Bakumgadi fort as palpa is a place of great historical importance with museum and forts. You should also visit Tansen which is a place of palaces, temples, stupas and historic architecture. You can also visit to Vhairabsthan temple. This temple is a Lord Shiva temple with huge trident and is believed to be largest in Asia.
