On display at WWDC 2023 will be Reality Pro, iOS 17, and new MacBooks.

Just a few days remain until the opening keynote of Apple’s 2023 Worldwide Developer Conference, which begins on Monday, June 5. That keynote will be livestreamed, and we’ll also liveblog it. It’s going to be a big one. Since the WWDC keynote typically focuses on iOS updates rather than exciting new hardware, it isn’t always the most exciting for non-developers. But there have been exceptions, and the upcoming occasion will undoubtedly be one of them. Apple is expected to finally make its long-rumored mixed reality headset available to the public. Though there will be interesting new developments for the iPhone, Mac, and Watch, that will be the main focus. What to anticipate from the WWDC keynote next week is listed below.

modern MacBooks

Let’s start with the section that will be most useful to consumers right away: New Macs are coming, and at least some of them will probably debut this summer. Numerous supply chain sources, as well as Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, have claimed that Apple is developing a 15-inch MacBook Air in addition to an updated 13-inch Air. Which chip, the M2 or the upcoming M3, will be included in the 15-inch MacBook Air has generated some confusion in pre-launch rumors. Early indications suggested the M2, but we won’t know for sure until the keynote. Similar to the M2 that came after the M1, the M3 would likely provide a noticeable but not significant improvement in CPU performance over its predecessor.
