‘Never seen discrimination on the basis of religion in the industry’, says Huma Qureshi
Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi does not need any introduction. It has been more than a decade since he came to the film industry. Don’t know how many films Huma has done. And if seen, the actress has created a special place in the hearts of the audience with each of her films. Nowadays Huma has come in headlines for her film ‘Tarla’. Recently, the actress was seen talking about her personal, professional, Hindu-Muslim discrimination in the show ‘Black and White’. Along with this, he also gave some career advice.
Huma was asked that you have read history. There has been a lot of polarization in the country, there is a discussion about Hindu-Muslim at various places and it becomes an issue. When a Muslim girl from Delhi entered Bollywood, did you feel that there was discrimination on the basis of your religion? Have some situations been difficult for you? Huma said that according to me Bollywood is a very secular place. I have never faced stereotypes about being a woman or a Muslim. It never happened that I was cast or not in any film because of my Muslim name. This has never happened to me. I got a lot of love from people all over the country. People never liked me seeing my name. Did it after seeing my work. As far as polarization is concerned, we only see this thing on the news that the country is getting divided.
