Nepal lose against Ireland
Nepal lost to Test nation Ireland by two wickets in the 7th place clash held today as part of ICC One Day World Cup Qualifiers held in Kathmandu and Zimbabwe.
Nepal has finished the World Cup qualifying journey by finishing eighth place in the tournament in which 10 different teams participated. With this victory, Ireland is in seventh place. Ireland achieved the winning target of 269 runs given by Nepal for victory by losing eight wickets in 49.2 overs.
Curtis Campher contributed the most 62 runs in Ireland’s victory. He scored 62 runs in 59 balls with 8 fours and 1 six. Similarly, Harry Tector contributed 60 runs. He scored 60 runs in 76 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes.
Similarly, George Dockrell was caught out for 33 runs in 47 balls with 2 fours and 1 six. Lorcan Tucker scored 24 runs off 22 balls with 2 fours and 1 six. Opener Andy McBrien was dismissed for 17 runs. Captain Andy Balberney was out for 1 run while Paul Stirling scored 15 runs.
Nepal’s Karan KC took the most 4 wickets while Kishore Mahato took two wickets. Sandeep Lamichhanele and Gulshan Jha took one wicket each. Before that, Nepal lost the toss and started batting first at the Takasinga Sports Club in Harare, Zimbabwe.
Gulshan Jha contributed the most 57 runs for Nepal. He played an unbeaten half-century of 57 runs in 42 balls with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes. Similarly, Nepal’s opening batsman Arjun Saud scored 48 runs. He scored 48 runs in 84 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes. Kushal Malla scored 44 runs off 38 balls with the help of 5 fours and 2 sixes.
Similarly, Sandeep Lamichhan scored 32 runs in 30 balls with the help of 3 fours and 1 six, while captain Rohit Paudel added 29 runs in 35 balls. Bhim Sarki scored 20 runs.

Nepal was in Group A in the tournament with 10 different teams participating. In the group stage match, Nepal won 3 matches and lost 4 matches. Nepal was ranked fourth in the group stage.
Nepal defeated America by 6 wickets. They lost against Zimbabwe by 8 wickets and lost against West Indies by 101 runs. Similarly, after Nepal was defeated by 7 wickets against the Netherlands, Nepal could not reach the Super Six.
