More than 1 lakh 12 thousand students got NOC for studying abroad from Nepal

In the last financial year 2080/081, more than 120,000 students have gone abroad for study.

According to the statistics of the Overseas Study Permit (NOC) branch under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, 112,593 people have taken NOC in one year.

From 1st July 2080 to 31st June 2081 NOC has been issued in the said number.

One lakh 12 thousand 593 Nepalese have taken NOC to study in 66 different countries. One lakh 12 thousand 269 people have taken NOC for studying 94 subjects. According to the NOC branch, as the old NOC letters are canceled when the new NOC is issued, the country-wise and subject-wise statistics have changed.

Most of them have gone to Japan to study. For Japan, 34,731 students have taken NOC. Similarly, they are in the second place for Canada. 15 thousand 982 people have taken NOC for Canada.

Similarly, 14,372 people have taken NOC for Australia, 13,339 for UK, 11,261 people for America, 6,889 people for Korea.

Most have taken NOC for studying Japanese language. Out of which 33 thousand 697 NOCs have been issued.

Similarly, 28,891 NOCs have been issued for management, 10,029 for business, 4,159 for studying health, and 4102 for studying science and technology.
