‘Mission Impossible 7’ Opens To $235 Million Worldwide, Less Than Projected
Tom Cruise starrer ‘Mission Impossible 7‘ has opened slightly lower than the world box office release. It grossed US$235 million in 70 international markets in its first weekend, reported Deadline magazine.
In China, the world’s biggest film market, the film opened at the third position. The film grossed $25.9 million in the Chinese market from Friday to Sunday. The series’ previous film, Mission Impossible: Fallout, released in 2018, opened to $76 million.
The film, which is the second biggest film market in the US, has earned $56.2 million from Friday to Sunday, Variety reported. ‘Promotion spent nearly $300 million for the film, given its weak start,’ Variety wrote.

The comparison is not correct because ‘Dead Reckoning Part One‘ was released on Wednesday instead of Friday. The seventh installment grossed an estimated $80 million in five days, behind Fallout ($77.5 million) and Mission Impossible 2 ($78.8 million). And the dead reckoning part one’s earnings should be more than two.
