Messi will return to Barcelona until next season: Robert Lewandowski

Barcelona: Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has said that Lionel Messi wants to return to the club by next season.

According to the Spanish media, FC Barcelona is trying to re-sign their former player in the coming summer, and the Argentine player, who has been playing for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) since 2021, is also eager to return to Camp Nou.

Lewandowski has expressed his hope to play with Messi next season in Barcelona. He said, ‘If he (Messi) returns, it will not be a surprise. Barcelona is his place. I don’t know what will happen but I hope next season we will play together.’

After 28 games of this season, Barcelona has a 13-point lead over Real Madrid and is on its way to winning the La Liga title. “Barcelona has not won the La Liga title in the last few years, but now we are in a good position. If we do that, a lot of players will have a lot of confidence,” he said. Lewandowski has scored the most goals in La Liga this season with 17 goals.

‘The FIFA World Cup in the middle of the season has complicated the situation, as people expect more and more goals from strikers. We just have to score goals and make people happy. I believe we can play better in attack,’ said the 34-year-old Lewandowski. Rasas
