Mayor Cup cycle race will be held in Pokhara.

Pokhara – The Mayor’s Cup cycle race will be held in Pokhara on the 6th of January. Cycle City Pokhara is going to hold this competition. Rajan Gongju, coordinator of Tour The Pokhara, informed that Mayor’s Cup cycle race is going to be organized on the eve of Tour The Pokhara.

According to him, the Tour of Pokhara is going to be held on the 7th and 9th of December. Pokhara Metropolitan Municipality Chief Dhanraj Acharya handed over the Tour Di Pokhara flag to Gongju. Cycle City has been organizing the Tour the Pokhara program every year with the slogan ‘Cycle for health, environment and tourism’.

Cyclists from all over the country will participate in the event. The bicycle race to be held in the evening will be held on January 6 at a distance of 20 km at Rani Forest. Shankar Bhandari, President of the Cycling Association, said that the winner of the competition will be given a cash prize of Rs 30,000, the second runner-up Rs 20,000 and the third runner-up Rs 10,000. The current tour of Pokhara is the sixth edition. The competition will be held at a distance of 72 km.

Gongju informed that this year the journey will be made from Kalika temple in Baglung to Bindhyavasini in Pokhara. “This time Tour di Pokhara will be held to connect the two religious areas with tourism,” he said, “Its message is special.” It is a campaign to reduce petroleum consumption by riding a bicycle for at least one day. Mayor Acharya said that this campaign has also made a special contribution to promoting Pokhara.
