‘Kisika Bhai Kisiki Jaan’ earned 100 crores in India, 3 crores in Nepal
Kathmandu. Fans are breathing a sigh of relief after Salman Khan starrer ‘Kisika Bhai Kisiki Jaan’ earned Rs 100 crore at the Indian domestic box office. According to Bollywood media, the film has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark by earning Rs 4.50 crore on Sunday.
The film had a satisfactory first weekend opening and saw a decline in occupancy from Monday. However, the weekend brought some happiness to the producer’s face. As a public holiday has been declared in Maharashtra on Monday, it is expected that the earnings for the film will increase. According to trade analyst Sanchik, Kisiki’s brother Kisiki Jan captured 16.77 percent of the Hindi market on Sunday.
The number may sound encouraging but it is nothing compared to Salman’s stardom. His last film Dabangg 3 (2019) had a lifetime collection of Rs 230 crores, while his last film may not even be close to Rs 150 crores. This film, which is a remake of South Indian ‘Veeram’, can be one of the successful Hindi films after ‘Pathan’ and ‘Tu Jhuti Main Makkar’ in 2023.
Kisika Bhai Kisiki Jaan also stars Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Bhumika Chawla, Palak Tiwari, Siddharth Nigam, Raghav Juyal, Shahnaz Gill and others. Due to Salman’s star power, the film managed to earn well at the box office, but it failed to impress the critics
Shubhra Gupta of Indian Express reviewed it as ‘unimaginable’, adding, ‘This Bhaijaan is a tired and unimaginative combination of every Bhaijaan we have seen.’ According to the Film Development Board, the film has earned around three crore rupees gross at the Nepali box office in two weeks.
