Khokana is beautiful place you should visit it

Khokana is a traditional and small newar village which is about 8 kilometers south of Kathmandu. To reach there you can take local bus and takes time about 30to 45 minutes. Well khokana is the first town to be lid with elctricity in 1911 AD during the reign of Rana Prime Minister Chandra Shamsher.

Khokana is famous for cultivating mustard oil. The places that we can visit in khokana are Bungamati Cultural Museum, Dey Pukha which is central pond and Karyabinayak Temple. Karyabinayak temple lies in the way to Khokana village. To reach karyabinayak temple you have to turn left when the path from Bungamati meets a larger track by a school.

Karyabinayak temple is also one of the most important temple of Nepal. In saturday there use to have a bhajan which is devotional music. You should really visit this place. The view and surrounding that it have is really beautiful that it calms all your worries. Khokana use to have a jatra which is Shikali Jatra which is really famous and most of the time if we talk about khokana then this jatra use to come in our mind.

At that jatra all the people use to go there and enjoy and see the jatra. It is celebrated as a festival. It is one of the shining point of khokana. You can also visit Bungamati Cultural Museum where there are lots of things which are really beautiful. You can also visit dey pukha which is a central pond. You will enjoy it because it really beautiful.
