Hotel Pauwa’s 15th hotel in operation
A local brand active in the hospitality business is aggressively expanding hotels. This group, which is being branded under the name of Hotel Pauwa, said that it has expanded chain hotels in different big cities of the country.
Speaking at a press conference organized to inform about the expansion of his 15th chain hotel, Dhruv Newpan, the manager of Hotel Pauwa, said that he has moved forward with the goal of providing services through 100 hotels in 10 years and showing presence in the world market in the next decade.
In the next 10 years, we are going to operate 3 to 5 star hotels on a large scale within the country. For that, we have started to standardize the existing hotels. Currently, we are going to put 15 hotels in Pauwa into operation,’ he said, ‘We are expanding as 14th and 15th hotels in Mulkot and Hallesi.’
According to him, Pauwa Group is currently building hotels from normal to 5 stars all over the country. He said that Hotel Pauwa, which is being built in Nepalgunj with an investment of nearly 1 billion, will be 5 stars. He said that since Asian tourists come to Nepal, the hotel has been expanded targeting them. He said that the hotel is aimed at Indian tourists and the hotels in India are being managed by Pauwa.
Hotel Pauwa, which is expanding its network across the country, has started Pauwa Resort at Halesi in Khotang and Pauwa Hotel at Mulkot in Sunkoshi, Sindhuli. Pauwa Group, which has expanded its hotels across the country, has started its 14th branch at Sunkoshi Bank in Mulkot, Sindhuli, imbibing the original mantra of ‘where hospitality begins’. Spread over an area of 45 ropani, this resort has been operated under the name of Pauwa Beach Resort with an investment of 500 million. The group has launched another Pauwa resort with an investment of more than 40 crores in an area of 45 ropani in Halesi, Khotang.
Durga Prasad Bhandari, president of Hotel Pauwa, said, “We have been investing in hotels for 8 years to expand the tourist industry. At a distance of 90 km from Kathmandu, Mulkot in Sindhuli is the best destination for tourists. As there is a calm environment on the banks of the Sunkoshi river from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu, we have opened Pauwa Resort targeting domestic and foreign tourists.
President Bhandari said, “Halesi Mahadev Kirant of Khotang is a meeting place of Buddhists and Sanatan Hindus, so we have operated a resort in Halesi Tuwachung municipality with an area of 45 ropani, targeting internal and external religious followers. You can see the view of Haseli in 360 degrees from the resort.
Bishnu Gyawali, managing director of Pauwa, said, ‘The sign of development of the country is culture. The culture of Nepali hospitality is unique in the world. Hotel Paua has worked to show it to tourists from all over the world. We intend to expand Pauwa not only as a business, but also to expand our culture.
Gyawali said, ‘Nepal has set a target of bringing in 1.6 million foreign tourists in a year. Tourists have been coming in for the last one year as before Corona. Therefore, only if we can make the tourists who come here to visit new destinations, the stay of the tourists can be extended. We have built 15 Pauwa chains across the country. Which is also a tourist destination area. We also hope that our small efforts will help in the development of tourism.
Entering Eastern Nepal, traveling to ‘Mission 100’
Hotel Pauwa has moved forward to the east of Nepal with the plan of Mission 100 to take Nepal’s tourism industry to a higher level. The first journey to Hotel Pauwa started from Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautama Buddha, the ambassador of world peace.

Now the 14th branch of Paua has been extended to Mulkot in Sindhuli and 15th branch in Halesi in Khotang. As a dream project of Pauwa, a five-star hotel ‘Pauwa Western’ is being constructed at Nepalgunj, the main entrance of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
Pauwa has been expanding its services in 3 models so far, under which the organization is providing services under its own investment and ownership in the first model, providing services in institutional partnership with local partners, and in the third model taking over the management and providing services under Pauwa’s brand.
Pauwa’s manager Dhuvra Neupane said, ‘The places to visit in Nepal are endless. The tourism sector is the area where we introduce the country. If we make good use of our Dandapakha, we can stop the mental illness of migrating abroad for employment.
The main goal of Poua is to create jobs within the country. Pauwa has also been consuming local products, which has expanded the source of income to the place where Pauwa has reached,’ said Neupane.
He said that Pauwa’s effort is to create a positive perception of Nepal by providing hospitality services to foreign or domestic tourists visiting Nepal. Hotel Pauwa, which has planned ‘Mission 100’ with the goal of expanding 100 branches in a decade, is spreading across the country as a chain hotel with Nepali hospitality.
