Ghadghodi lake is really beautiful place to visit. It is a ramrer site in western Nepal. It is the main lake of a wetland complex that consists of 13 large and shallow lakes and ponds. It is the largest interconnected natural lake system in the plain land of Nepal. This lake is situated in Kailali district at Sukhad V.D.C.

The name of this lake is named after the temple situated in here which is Goddess Ghodaghadi. To reach here, you can take bus as from Dhangadi it takes 15-hour drive and from Nepalgunj it takes 2 hours. This lake is really beautiful and will mesmerize you with its beauty. This lake is quite crowded in the festival called Shivaratri. Not only the people from inside the country but from India also people used to come here.

They come here and worship and get blessed. Not only worship many of the people also get married on Shivaratri in this sacred place. If you go there in this festival then you might even see the marriage ceremony of them. In here you can also some of the cultural item in here. In this lake many different aquatic organisms are found which are important from natural and scientific way.
