At 12:25 today, Chinese climbers Lianhui Chui and Thundu Sherpa successfully ascended Mount Everest.

This was Lianhui Chui’s first ascent of 8000 meters, according to Imagine Nepal Treks and Expedition. Thundu Sherpa held the Guinness World Record for being the first sibling to have ascended Everest and to climb together for the majority of the 8000-meter mountain; this was his 13th successful ascent of the summit.
