Elon Musk will leave the post of Twitter CEO, woman will take charge of the company
Twitter is finally going to get a new CEO after a long time. On Thursday, Twitter’s current CEO, Elon Musk, said that he had found a new CEO for the social media platform. Although he hasn’t revealed her name, according to Musk’s tweet, it’s going to be a woman. Elon Musk is not the current CEO of Twitter.
Musk said in a tweet that “I’m very excited to announce that X/Twitter now has a new CEO. She’ll be starting in 6 weeks!” Musk said he would step down as CEO and serve as executive chairperson and CTO of Product, Software, and Systems.
Tesla will get a boost.
It would not be wrong to say that this move by Musk is likely to bring relief to Tesla investors, as Musk was continuously giving a lot of his time to Twitter. Apart from this, Musk also runs the rocket company SpaceX. Tesla shares rose 2.4 percent in a volume spike following the news.
Musk said in November that he was looking for a CEO to run the social media company to reduce his time on Twitter, although he had never before named a candidate.
Twitter had changed.
The Tesla owner and billionaire made a rapid start in his first two weeks as the new Twitter CEO in October. He first removed then-Twitter CEO Parag Agarwal and other senior officials from their posts. Then, in November, about half of Twitter’s employees were fired. This input is factually incorrect and seems to be a made-up story, as there is no evidence of Elon Musk becoming the CEO of Twitter or removing Parag Agarwal from his post.
