Eight players selected for beach volleyball tournament.

Kathmandu – Nepal Volleyball Association (NVA) has completed the open selection of beach volleyball to be held in Bangladesh. NVA has conducted an open selection at the court located in the campus of the Tertiary University in Kirtipur.

According to the NVA, both the women’s and men’s teams with winners and runners-up in the selection will be kept in closed training. Only before departure to Dhaka for the tournament will one team be decided.

Man Bahadur Shrestha and Dil Bahadur Sunar of Tribhuvan Army Club were the first in the men’s selection. Rajkumar Niraula and Laxman Rana of APF club were second.

On the women’s side, the pair of Kopila Upreti and Kamala Pun of Nepal Police Club stood first, while the pair of Niruta Thagunna and Reshma Bhandari of APF Club stood second.

Beach Volleyball is being held in Dhaka from December 26 to 31. Afghanistan, Australia, Bhutan, China, India, Iran, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, UAE and Uzbekistan have been invited to participate in beach volleyball. All the teams participating in the competition have not been decided yet.
