Dave Bautista and Dwayne Johnson : Rivalry outside the ring

Previous WWE star Dave Bautista made fruitful progress to Hollywood. Nonetheless, there is another previous WWE Superstar who made a significantly greater progress – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Dave Bautista once took a poke at The Rock about the Hollywood jobs that he takes on in a meeting with Tampa Bay Times. As per the Guardians of the Galaxy star, despite the fact that The Rock clearly has an appeal, he’s as yet not a decent entertainer.

“There is something in particular about him that is truly exceptional. I’d never remove that from him. Would I think of him as an extraordinary entertainer? F-no.”

Moreover, Dave Bautista believes that the roles that Dwayne Johnson ‘The Rock’ takes on aren’t actually skillful and quality roles. Personally, he wants roles where he can work with legendary filmmakers like Sam Mendes, Denis Villeneuve, and Jodie Foster.

“I want good roles. I don’t care about Fast and Furious or Bumblebee. That’s not the kind of stardom I want. I want to be in Dune.”

Batista echoes a popular but not forth presented criticism of Dwayne Johnson’s movies. Dwayne barely takes on non-action roles and when he does, every once in a while, he acts in comedy movies. Hence, even if he can truly fit in or embrace roles from other genres, there is no way for us to know.

In fact, Bautista states that he wants to be a character actor and not the way Dwayne is.

As great as this sounds, let’s be blatantly honest – The Rock has managed to achieve an exorbitant amount of fame during his time in Hollywood.

Almost all of his movies are box office favorites. This would not have been the case if he was just another wrestler trying to make it as an actor. As a celebrity, he has evidently managed to capture the hearts of his audience which is good for what he is in real life character.

Recently a month back, Dwayne Johnson was also enlisted as the highest paid actor by Forbes for the second time in a row which shows how good his movie does.
