China won the first gold medal at the Paris Olympics. Earlier, Kazakhstan won the first medal in the Paris Olympics.

China won this gold in the shooting event. The Chinese pair won the medal in the mixed category of 10 m air rifle.

China’s Lihao Sheng and Yuting Huang beat Korea’s Jihyeon Kem and Hajun Park in the 10m air rifle mixed event to win the first gold medal of Paris 2024.

Earlier, Kazakhstan’s shooters Islam Satpayev and Alexandra Le won the first medal in this Olympics. The pair won a bronze medal in the 10 metre air rifle mixed team event at Chateauroux.

Satpayev and Alexandra Ley defeated Germany’s Maximilian Ulbricht and Anna Janssen in the bronze medal match.
