‘BBC’s powerful woman’ Sapna files complaint with police
Sapna Roka Magar, 18, who is on the BBC’s list of influential women, has lodged a complaint against Vinay Jung Basnet at the Metropolitan Police Complex, Kathmandu. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ashok Singh has informed that Sapna Roka has lodged a complaint at the premises alleging that Basnet had threatened to kill the character by showing his obscene picture on YouTube. Sapna has filed a case of indecent treatment against Basnet. The quarrel between Vinay and Sapna, who have been managing the corpses together, had become public recently.
The controversy erupted shortly after they were selected on the BBC’s list. Now they are working in separate groups. Police have started searching for Basnet after Sapna’s complaint. He is now out of Kathmandu, police said.
