Ather Energy 450S electric scooter to be launched on August 3

Bangalore-based Ather Energy will introduce the 450S, a brand new electric scooter. On the company’s official website, pre-booking has already begun. Customers who wish to reserve a scooter must pay a deposit of Rs. 2500.

Recently, the company unveiled a teaser for the electric scooter. This disclosed the scooter’s range, top speed, and starting price. The business has maintained its initial price of Rs. 1,29,999. The teaser shows the scooter’s digital LED instrument cluster.

115 km range claim in a single charge

The company states in the teaser that the 450S electric scooter can travel 115 kilometers on a single charge. The scooter accelerates from 0 to 40 kilometers per hour in only 3.9 seconds. It will have a top speed of 90 km/h.

Touchscreens will not be available in the 450S.

The 450S electric scooter will reportedly be based on the 450X model, but instead of a 7.0-inch touchscreen, it will have a color LCD display.

Ather Energy 450S electric scooter will rival the Ola S1

The rival to the Ola S1 will be the Ather Energy 450S electric scooter. Whereas Ather Energy claims that its upcoming e-scooter will have a range of 115 kilometers on a single charge. The business asserts that Ola S1 has traveled 101 kilometers at the same time. However, the top speed of both scooters is listed as 90 km/h.
