After consecutive film flops, Akshay Kumar: ‘From now on, I will be careful about content’

Akshay Kumar once dominated the box office. He used to do three-four films in a year. All those films were hits. In the last four-five years, his films have been flops continuously.
Even the big budget movies failed miserably. The last film ‘Sarfira’ did not show the best. The film is a Hindi remake of Suriya’s Tamil film ‘Surarai Potru’, for which the actor also received a National Award.
But Akshay Kumar could not even earn 30 crores in 12 days from this film made on a budget of 100 crores. Akshay has now responded to the media about this failure.
In an interview given to Forbes India, he said, “There is a lot of blood, sweat and passion behind every film. It hurts to see any film fail. But you must learn to look at the positive side. Every failure teaches you the meaning of success and increases your hunger for it. Fortunately, I learned to deal with this early in my career. Of course, it hurts and affects you, but it doesn’t change the fate of the film.’
Akshay further said, ‘This matter is no longer under your control. Hard work is the only thing in your control. Improve yourself further and devote yourself to the next film. Give it your all. In this way I invest my energy and move on to the next film. I put my energy in the right place, where it makes the most sense.’
Akshay attributes his success to discipline and dedication to work. He follows the table for a while. They insist on being mentally and physically fit. The actor said about the changes after the covid epidemic, “This epidemic has changed the pace of the film industry itself. Now the audience does not watch all the films.
He is more ‘choosy’ about the film. More choices have been made in cinema. Now it is necessary to choose a really entertaining film, which is different. I have become more aware of the content,” says Akshay, “Now I want to know if the audience will come to the theater if I do this film or not. Such a film should not only entertain the audience. It is also important to have a deep relationship with the audience.
