Earlier, after captain Ahmed Faiz and Virandeep Singh shared a century, Malaysia scored 235 runs with the loss of 9 wickets in the scheduled 50 overs.
Ahmed Faiz and Virandeep shared 116 runs for the second wicket. Faiz scored 76 runs off 95 balls with 8 sixesVirandeep scored 46 runs off 94 balls. He hit 2 fours.
Opener Muhammad Amir was dismissed after scoring 17 runs. Apart from that, Khizar Hayat scored 22 runs, Muhammad Wafiq scored 21 runs and Muhammad Sahadat scored 15 runs.
Malaysia got 12 runs from extra.
Sompal Kami and Sandeep Lamichhane took 3 wickets each for Nepal. Sompal spent 40 runs in 9 overs while Sandeep kept 1 maiden in 10 overs and spent 48 runs.
Lalit Rajwanshi took 2 wickets for 34 runs in 10 overs. Gulshan Jha took 1 wicket.
Singapore lost the toss and scored 174 runs against Hong Kong in 42.1 overs after losing the toss in the match being held at Mulpani Ground under Group B of the competition.
